Cal South has teamed up with the U.S. Soccer and the LA84 Foundation to present a coaching symposium at the 2012 NCAA Women’s College Cup in San Diego. “An Inside Look at the U.S. Women’s National Team Program,” is scheduled to feature guest clinicians from the U.S. Soccer National Coaching Staff, including Women’s Technical Director, April Heinrichs and Women’s Development Director, Jillian Ellis.
Coaches will have an opportunity to learn more about the changes that Heinrichs and Ellis have introduced into the U.S. Soccer Youth National Team program, as well as observe some of the training techniques and sessions that are taking place at the Federation level.
The field portion of the symposium will take place at the Francis Parker School in San Diego while the classroom sessions will take place at the Crowne Plaza – San Diego, from November 30 through December 2. The symposium is being held in conjunction with the 2012 NCAA Women’s College Cup, hosted at the University of San Diego’s Torero Stadium. Participants will receive tickets to all three College Cup matches as part of their clinic fee.
Coaches holding an “A” License will receive 3 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for attending and submitting a post-symposium assignment.
Cal South has also secured an exclusive hotel room rate of $109 a night (plus tax) for participants in this course at the Crowne Plaza – San Diego.
