This TOPSoccer Buddy Training is a five-hour introductory course to prepare volunteers to work with players with disabilities. This course guides the TOPSoccer Buddy in providing a fun growth experience for soccer players with disabilities.
A Buddy is paired with one youth athlete to assist with his/her soccer experience. You will work with the coach to determine the Buddy's role on the field, guide the player physically, if necessary, on the field, encourage the player verbally, work towards the goal of player independence, provide positive encouragement to the player, and help to ensure a safe an fun experience for the player.
This course will be limited to 30 candidates.
***YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 12 YEARS OF AGE TO ATTEND THIS COURSE***
