2015 Cal South / USSF License "D" Course
The "D" License is strongly recommended for all competitive coaches of players 13 years old and up. This 36-hour course is the most comprehensive course offered and is preparatory for National "C" licensing. Only a limited number of courses are offered each year and sign up for this course must be accomplished through the State Office.

Course Length:
|
• 36 hours total- 12 hours in classroom and 24 hours of field sessions.
• Mandatory online webinars will be held on January 27, 28 and February 24, 25 from 6pm-10 pm. All registered candidates must be available for these webinars in order to eligible to attend the course.
Any candidate that fails to attend the FULL 36 hour course will receive a "Fail" grade and must wait for a period of six months before re-testing.

Training Sessions:
|
• Three training sessions and three self reflections will be prepared prior to the first weekend of instruction.
• Three training sessions and three self reflections will be prepared in between the first and second weekends.
• In addition to the classroom and field instruction, attendees must attend webinars on January 27, 28 and February 24, 25.

Grades:
|
Attendees will receive 1 of 3 grades:
National “D” License-full privileges of the license and may attend a National “C” License course in the future
Provisional “D” Status-coach must attend a second weekend of the License “D” Course and receive a passing score to attain a National “D” License (6-month wait period)
Fail-coach must pay for and attend the full License “D” Course from the beginning again (6-month wait period)

What to Bring:

•Completed pre-course assignments
•Notepad and pen/pencil for classroom session
•Properly inflated size 5 soccer ball
•Appropriate soccer attire and comfortable training shoes for field work
•Water/snacks, sunscreen lotion (optional), portable chair (optional)
•Lunch (optional, as you will be allowed off campus for lunch if preferred).

Three weeks prior to course start date, candidate must submit three completed practice coaching sessions and the corresponding Self Reflection Forms that coincide with those sessions chosen to espruell@calsouth.com.

Each practice coaching session must be conducted with an age appropriate team (U13-U14) and signed off on by the organization’s Director of Coaching or President prior to submission.

It is MANDATORY that you complete the pre course assignments and email them to espruell@calsouth.com three weeks prior to the start of the course. You are required to be in attendance for the full duration of the course and also successfully complete a practical field session.
