The USSF Grade 8 entry course is designed for those who will become new USSF referees or
for anyone who has allowed more than 3 years to lapse between USSF re-certifications.
Grade 8 Referees have nothing to do with what grade a youth is currently in school.
Its is the first level classification of USSF officials.
Upon completion of this course you will be certified for 2015
and your badge will be valid from when you receive it until 12/31/2015.
Grade 8 referees can be assigned to: All youth games, assistant referee in comparable games.
Risk Management must be complete for those over 18.

Course Details: |
You must register to pay your 2015 USSF Grade 8 registration fee followed by your field training fee. Once you have completed your payments, click on the link below to take your Online Pre-course Modules.
.........How does Cal South verify you competed your modules?.......
Cal South receives a completion report from USSF regarding all video modules. The report will indicate if each module was completed and successfully passed. This report is generated once a week on Wednesdays. You must complete your modules before the Wednesday prior to the field training. Upon verification, you will receive an email contact confirming we have received your results and therefore allowed to attend the field training you signed up for.
You will not be allowed to attend the Field Training if you did not complete your pre-course material. Absolutely no Walk –in’s will be accepted. |

Come dressed in athletic wear and proper shoes to
run in. You will be active on the field. No Flip Flops! This is a training,
you must be able to actively participate.
Please bring water and a snack to refresh yourself with.
Items are available at most soccer supply stores.Please DO NOT WAIT until the day before the training to looking for these items! |

Registrations will be accepted until the above mentioned date unless the training is full. Each session can only hold 60 attendees.
Modules must be completed by 7:00PM Tuesday night before the training.
Test verifications will be done the following day on Wednesday. Emails will be sent out on Thursday and Friday only to those who registered for this event. |

Once Cal South verifies passing scores, you will receive an email confirming you are allowed to attend your field training. The emails will start going out on Thursday Mar. 25, 2015 .
Please make sure we have your correct email.

Anyone over the age of 18 will need to get Risk Managed (fingerprinted).
If you have already been risk managed for Cal South, regardless of the purpose, we already
have your RM Approval and you do not need to do it again. Any other legal adult will
need to fill out the following form and take it t their local police station to get finger printed.
Keep a copy of this form after you get the service done. You will not need to send it to us.
Cal South will receive the results from the Department of Justice within 14 days then update your referee profile.

Cal South referees are required to upload a current picture into their account during
registration of the $45. Cal South players who register using their player account profile
might already have their photo loaded and not need to upload again. You can
always log into your account at any time to upload this picture. A current picture is
required for all referees in order to have your referee card printed and mailed to you.
Please do not wear sunglasses or hats in your picture. Pictures that cannot clearly
identify you will not be accepted and this will delay your necessary card from being printed.
