If you do not register online you will NOT be allowed to "Walk In" to the class.
Those who register prior to three days from the start of the first day of class, will be receive their badge the day of the course. All others will have their badge mailed to them within 2 weeks.
This course teaches the particular aspects of soccer officiating for individuals involved in the recreational program and allows you officiate recreational youth games up to the Under 14 age group..After completion of the course your U.S. Soccer Federation(USSF) referee registration is good till December 31st, 2014.
· This course is open to those of all ages.
If you have not been a certified referee for the last three years you will begin with this course. In this course you will receive the information needed to become a certified referee.
Course Length:
A Grade 8 course – is a 2-day event (8 hours per day). Attendance is required on both days. There will be some outside / field work.
Course Times:
Saturday, August 3rd 8am to 5pm
Saturday August10th 8am to 5pm
What to Bring:
· Water
· Sack lunch (Not required as option to plan to eat out is available)
· Paper for note taking
· Black or blue ball point pen
· Pencil with good eraser (for taking the test)
· Quality whistle. No neck lanyard
· Wear comfortable clothing & shoes for jogging & field work. No sandals or flip-flops. Cleats are not required.
NOTE: The hosting association will be requiring a $20 facility fee to be collected at the beginning of the first day of class.
All fees are non-refundable for a non-passing exam. If needed, you can retake the exam until you pass at no additional charge.
Pre-registration must be done online before you attend this course.
Additional Information:
Cal South State Soccer Association requires all USSF referees 18 years old and older to have Risk Management approval to referee any youth match. If you are turning 18 this year you must apply on or after your birthday. This process can be done before or after you attend the course.
